About us
Who we are and why we exist
Actus Bonitatis is a humanitarian organization dedicated to helping individuals, families and communities who need support the most.
Our story
It all started two years ago as an initiative of a few people from Sremska Mitrovica who simply wanted to help. With no foundation behind them and no publicity, just from the heart. The first large campaign, for the Monastery of St. Petka of Izvor, was started by Kaća Kuridža, and along the way a circle of people formed that is now the core of the organization.
Through five large campaigns we brought together citizens, schools, companies, associations and church communities from Sremska Mitrovica, Ruma, Šid and nearby villages, and collected aid worth an estimated €10,000 or more.
The response showed us that the wish to help is stronger than we expected. That is why, in May 2026, we founded a humanitarian organization, to work formally, transparently and openly. We are a non-governmental, non-profit association working throughout Serbia.

Why Actus Bonitatis?

We borrowed our name from Latin: together, the two words mean “act of kindness”. We chose a name that belongs to no nation, faith or group, because kindness doesn’t choose whom to help.
Who we have helped so far
Before we became an organization, five large campaigns took us to the people and institutions that needed support the most.
“Čistog srca” Home
Monastery of St. Petka of Izvor, near Paraćin
Ten nuns care for around 90 bedridden and ill residents. We collected hygiene products, bedding and clothing for their daily care.
“Dr Milorad Pavlović” Children’s Village
Sremska Kamenica
A home for children without parental care, aged 7 to 18. We have signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Village.
“Radivoj Popović” School
Sremska Mitrovica
A primary and secondary school for pupils who need additional support in learning and development.
Petkovica Monastery
Fruška Gora
Support for the monastery’s sisterhood with everyday needs.
How we work
We learn the needs
We talk to institutions and families and check what is really needed.
We decide together
Members propose campaigns and vote, and everyone takes on their share of the work.
We gather help
We connect donors, then collect, sort and pack the donations.
We deliver in person
We bring the help to people ourselves and publicly report on every campaign.

Our vision
More than aid packages
We want to grow into a serious institution that helps not only with money and donations, but also with knowledge. Through education, workshops and conferences, especially in the field of health, we will bring together experts who support vulnerable groups.
Every big change starts with one person and grows with the support of others. We believe kindness works the same way.
Become a member
Anyone who accepts the goals of the association can become a member. Young people aged 14 and over can join with their parents’ consent.
